Patronizing Prostitution Arrests
The following individuals were arrested and charged for either patronizing or soliciting for prostitution. This is not a comprehensive list of all individuals arrested by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for patronizing or soliciting for prostitution. The names, identities, and citations appear here as they were provided to police officers in the field at the time of arrests.
All photos and information will be removed after sixty
(60) days from the arrest date.
These individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court
of law.
Specialized Investigations Division detectives on March 12 charged five men with patronizing prostitution after they responded to an Internet ad, came to a West Nashville hotel, and allegedly agreed to pay a female police operative for sex. The five received state misdemeanor citations charging patronizing prostitution. They are identified as

South Precinct undercover detectives charged 27 men with patronizing prostitution during a sting conducted in the late hours of March 21 and early hours of March 22 on Murfreesboro Pike near Plus Park Boulevard. The defendants received state misdemeanor citations after allegedly offering a female police operative money for sex.

Specialized Investigations Division detectives on April 3 charged nine men with patronizing prostitution after they came to an airport-area hotel and allegedly agreed to pay a female police operative for sex. The defendants came to the motel after responding to a posting on the Craigslist Internet site. The nine defendants, who were issued state misdemeanor citations, are identified as:

Frank Benette Ward, Jr., 37, was charged with prostitution near a school on April 23rd as the result of an investigation concerning an ad placed on Craigslist. Ward, of St. Louis, Missouri, advertised himself as a transsexual who would be arriving in Nashville at noon on April 23rd. An undercover officer contacted the number listed in the ad and Ward agreed to an appointment. He told the officer to come to a motel on Elm Hill Pike, which is eight tenths of one mile from an elementary school. Ward was arrested after he allegedly agreed to perform sex acts for a price of $200.

Specialized Investigations Division detectives on Wednesday May 8 charged five people after serving two search warrants in connection with Hispanic houses of prostitution. The search warrants were served simultaneously at two apartments located in the 1100 block of Murfreesboro Pike and the 300 block of Natchez Court. Francisco Lopez, 29, is charged with promoting prostitution and Maria De Dios, 22, is charged with prostitution in the Murfreesboro Pike operation. Lopez is being held on $25,000 bond. De Dios is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond. In the Natchez Court operation, Tablas Carrera, 31, is charged with promoting prostitution and unlawful weapon possession. Leticia Garcia, 26, and Delia Cortez, 18, are each charged with prostitution. All remain in jail, Carrera in lieu of $8,000 bond, Garcia on $3,000 bond, and Cortez on $1,500 bond.

Central Precinct detectives on Wednesday May 8 arrested four persons on prostitution offenses as the result of an investigation into ads placed on the Craigslist and Backpage.com Internet sites. Three women are charged with prostitution near a school (within 1 ½ miles of Hume Fogg High School) after detectives telephoned the numbers listed in the women’s ads and arranged for them to meet a police operative in a downtown hotel room. Once the women collected their fees and disrobed, detectives entered the room and placed them under arrest. Those arrested are:
