North Precinct detectives are investigating this afternoon’s fatal shooting of Demetrius Riley, 27, near his Brick Church Pike apartment.
Riley got into a verbal argument with several men outside his residence at 3:15 p.m. They chased him across Brick Church Pike to Richmond Hill Drive near Spears Road where he was shot. Riley died on the scene.
Anyone who has information concerning Riley’s murder is urged to contact North Precinct detectives at 862-7901 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone or text message can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
