Detectives are working to identify the man who late Tuesday night vandalized the Federal Courthouse at 801 Broadway by throwing objects through two glass doors.

The suspect is a white man in his 20s with short brown hair and sideburns.  He is approximately six feet tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.  He may be left handed.  At the time of the incident, he was wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt.

The man threw a motorcycle gas tank through the first door and a chunk of ceramic countertop through the second door.  He drove off in a late model white Dodge Pickup truck.   

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact Central Precinct detectives at 862-7044 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.  Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES).  Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone or text message can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
