South Precinct detectives are working to identify the two persons responsible for the midnight shooting of Martha Ramos in the parking lot of the Kroger grocery store at 5771 Nolensville Pike.
Ramos, 24, worked at a pool hall near the shooting scene and had walked to the Kroger parking lot to wait on a ride from her boyfriend. While there, a large gray or silver sedan pulled up. Two men got out and fired on Ramos with a shotgun. She was hit in the chest and leg and is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined. Ramos’ belongings, including her purse and cell phone, were not taken.
