North Precinct detectives continue to investigate Sunday night’s fatal shooting of 23-year-old Clenton Giles II, outside the Knoll Crest Apartments at 3301 Creekwood Drive.
Giles, of Chateau Valley Drive, drove to the apartment complex with three other men. He reportedly told them he had to run an errand. Giles walked into the breezeway of building X when gunfire erupted at 6:30 p.m. Giles, who was armed with a handgun, died at the scene. Witnesses report as many as three individuals, who are all described only as young black men, fled on foot.
Anyone with information about the murder is urged to contact North Precinct Investigations at 862-7901 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
