North Precinct officers tonight arrested 17-year-old Damonta Meneese on a charge of criminal homicide for Thursday night’s shooting death of Damium Rosenthal on a sidewalk outside apartments at 2400 Buena Vista Pike.
Flex officers arrested Meneese on Ashton Avenue shortly after Detective Billy Jackson obtained an arrest order for him at Juvenile Court. Jackson’s investigation led to a witness who identified Meneese as the gunman in Rosenthal’s murder.
Rosenthal was shot during an argument. The exact motive remains under investigation.
