Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 129 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Saxony Lake Drive, Rundle Avenue, 4th Avenue South, and Willow Lane. Seized were 42 grams of cocaine, 255 grams of marijuana and 17 various pills.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on Central Pike, Stewarts Ferry Pike, and Cannon and Lafayette Streets. Seized were 3.7 grams of cocaine, over one pound of marijuana, and 238 various pills.

West Precinct detectives charged 34 persons as the result of investigations on the 1400 block of Ireland Street, 12th, 25th, and 40th Avenues North, Herman Street, and the 1100 block of Archer Street. Seized were 505 grams of marijuana, 54 Lortab pills, 100 ecstasy pills, 49 grams of cocaine, four vehicles, one handgun and $3,356 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as the result of investigations on 26th and 28th Avenues North, Brick Church Pike, Panorama Drive, Crowe Drive, Pearl Street, and Trinity Lane. Seized were 13.3 grams of cocaine, 8.9 grams of marijuana, 62 various pills and one weapon.

East Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on the 2900 block of Dickerson Pike, Katie Street, Shelton Avenue, and Trinity Lane. Seized were two grams of cocaine, two ounces of marijuana, 160 Dilaudid pills, 17 methadone pills, 259 OxyContin pills, three vehicles, two boats, one weapon and $10,000 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged seven persons as the result of investigations on 2nd Avenue North, Gay Street, Oldham Street, 1st Avenue North, Commerce Street, 2nd Avenue South, and Lafayette Street. Seized were 30 grams of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
