East Precinct detectives have obtained a murder warrant against Evan Renard Johnson for last Thursday night’s shooting death of Frank James Wilson in the 1200 block of North 7th Street.
Wilson, 24, was shot in the roadway while arguing with a man who witnesses have now identified as Johnson. The investigation shows that after Wilson was initially shot and fell to the ground, the gunman walked up and shot him again.
Johnson, 20, has been known to frequent North 5th Street and apartments on Porter Road and Sunset Circle in East Nashville. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic message to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tips can also be sent through the Crime Stoppers website, www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com. Regardless of the Crime Stoppers contact method, reward money of up to $1,000 applies.
