Friday night’s delivery of 97 pounds of compressed “bricked” marijuana to Central Precinct undercover officers has led to a variety of drug and weapons charges against six South Nashville residents.
Miquel Garcia, 26, and Aniceto Roldan, 23, both with stolen pistols in their waistbands, were taken into custody as they arrived on 45th Avenue North to make a marijuana delivery that, unbeknownst to them, had been requested by police. The marijuana had an estimated street value of $440,000.
The arrests of Garcia and Roldan led to the searches of two apartments at The Highlands complex at 4646 Nolensville Pike. Recovered were a press used to package marijuana, scales, and 3.7 ounces of cocaine, valued at $25,000. Four associates of Garcia and Roldan were arrested on drug charges, Ruben Hernandez Pastrana, 29, Efren Guerra, 30, Angelica Cuellar, 25, and Jose Tardaguila, 29.
Bond for Garcia was set at $860,000. Roldan is being held in lieu of $890,000 bail. Bail for the other four defendants ranges from $10,000 and $35,000 each.
The Central Precinct’s daytime Flex Unit assisted in the investigation.
