Metro Police patch

Three Metro Police canine teams won awards during the United States Police Canine Association’s Region 13 competition held Thursday and Friday of last week in Franklin.

Officer Devery Moses and his partner, Sniper, tied for first place in the Agility category.

Officer Ron Black and his partner, Rex, placed first in the Apprehension category.

Officer Mike Hackney and his partner, Ziro, placed third in the Apprehension category.

Twenty-eight canine teams representing more than ten law enforcement agencies from Tennessee and Indiana took part in last week’s competition.
