Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force believe the same man who robbed Wachovia Bank’s 230 4th Avenue North branch on April 27 robbed it again this morning.

In both cases, the suspect presented a robbery demand note. The tellers complied and he fled on foot.

The bank robber is a black man in his late 30s. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He entered the bank at 9:15 a.m. today wearing a long-sleeved black jacket, khaki pants, white tennis shoes and a black and red baseball cap with “Miller Brewing” in white letters on the front.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-Crime or the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500.
