Arrest warrants charging especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault have been issued against Terrance Eugene Talley in connection with this afternoon’s abduction of his non-custodial son. The child, Terrance Talley, Jr., was returned to his mother unharmed nearly three hours after he was taken.
At 12:15 p.m. today, Talley drove into the courtyard of James Cayce Homes on South 7th Street. He had an argument with his son’s mother inside her apartment and then took the child to his vehicle. The mother, Raychelle Young, 29, tried to stop him, at which point she said Talley pulled a pistol and pointed it at her head. Young’s hair was also pulled, but she was not injured.
Talley drove away and eventually met up with a female friend who lives in the vicinity of Edgehill Homes. He gave his son to that woman, who brought him to police at 2:45 p.m.
Talley was last seen on foot in the Edgehill area. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
