
Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 128 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 27 persons as the result of investigations on Harding Place, Ezell Pike, Morton Avenue, and Harlin Drive. Seized were 2.6 pounds of marijuana, 12 Oxycodone pills and four Lortab pills.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Patio Drive, Central Pike, Donelson Pike, Charles E. Davis Boulevard, Lafayette Street, Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro Pike, Hickory Hill Lane, Lakeland Drive, and Spence Lane. Seized were two grams of cocaine, 207 grams of marijuana, 301 various pills and $3,207 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Merry Street, Tina Court, Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Phillips Street, 25th Avenue North, and Creekbend Drive. Seized were 84 pounds of marijuana, 71 grams of cocaine, 30 Hydrocodone pills, one vehicle, two plasma TVs, one weapon and $270 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard, Dickerson Pike, Woodruff Street, Forest Park Road, Brick Church Pike, Robwood Drive, and Berkley Drive. Seized were 13.1 grams of cocaine, 25.2 grams of marijuana, 94 various pills, one weapon, one vehicle and $1,630 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, Jones Avenue, Grace Street, and Montgomery Avenue. Seized were 15.2 grams of cocaine, 19.3 grams of marijuana, four various pills, three weapons, one vehicle and $148 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on 6th and 7th Avenues South, Drexel Street, Lafayette Street, Ewing Avenue, and Fesslers Lane. Seized were 177 Hydrocodone pills, 34 Oxycontin pills, 32 grams of cocaine and one vehicle.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
