Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 127 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 28 persons as the result of investigations on Edmondson Pike, Perkins Street, Brentridge Drive, and Haywood Lane. Seized were six grams of cocaine, 2.3 pounds of marijuana, one ecstasy pill, 25 various pills, one weapon and $2,542 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Lewis Street, Lebanon Pike, Sinbad Drive, University Court, Charles E. Davis Boulevard, Fain Street, Norcross Drive, Elliston Street, McCampbell Boulevard, and Bell Road. Seized were eight grams of cocaine, 488 grams of marijuana, 87 various pills, one vehicle, and $2,215 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 30 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, 12th Avenue South at Argyle Street, the 5300 block of Indiana Avenue, 11th Avenue North, and Merry Street. Seized were 25.5 pounds of marijuana, 60.5 grams of cocaine, 26 Hydrocodone pills, 70 Oxycontin pills, one weapon and $1,100 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, 14th Avenue North, and Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard. Seized were 18.4 grams of cocaine, 84.8 grams of marijuana, 20 various pills, one weapon, one vehicle, and $2,455 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on 12th Avenue North, Jones Avenue, Myrtle Street, and Ramsey Street. Seized were 4.9 grams of cocaine, four grams of marijuana, one Valium pill, and $985 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Piccadilly Row, Morrison Street, 10th and 11th Avenue North, and Jackson Street. Seized were two weapons and $1,100 cash.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
