North Precinct detectives continue to investigate whether last night’s assault that fatally injured a Nashville man stemmed from an argument he had earlier in the evening with a group of men in the area.
Michael Scruggs, 47, was found badly beaten next to his bicycle outside the Academy Apartments at 3205 Masonwood Drive at 11:30 p.m. He had been visiting a friend who lived in the apartment complex. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died this afternoon.
