An investigation of a drug complaint at the Cumberland View public housing development has led to the seizure of 110 grams of marijuana hidden in a commode tank and two loaded pistols from inside a bedroom closet.
Cordarrel Lee Buford, 20, of Hummingbird Drive, who was found visiting the apartment at 2457 25th Avenue North, admitted that the marijuana and guns belonged to him. Buford, a convicted robber who was sentenced to five years last April, is charged with possession of marijuana for resale in a drug free zone, a Crooks with Guns law violation, and possession of drug paraphernalia (in regard to three sets of digital scales that were also found inside the apartment).
Buford’s bail was set at $28,000.
