
Undercover detectives, assigned to each of the department’s six precincts, charged 104 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Wallace Road, Murfreesboro Pike, Harding Place, and Old Hickory Boulevard. Seized were 6.5 grams of cocaine, three grams of marijuana, seven Hydrocodone pills, and 1.5 grams of heroin.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on Lewis, Capital, Carroll, and Lafayette Streets, Charles E. Davis Boulevard, University Court, Fairfield Avenue, and Kipling Drive. Seized were 14.4 grams of cocaine, eight grams of marijuana, one Hydrocodone pill, and $1,170 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Alameda Street, James Avenue, Elkins Avenue, Westlawn Avenue, and Charlotte Pike. Seized were over 149 pounds of marijuana, 481 various pills, ten weapons, four vehicles, and $13,371 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 7 persons as the result of investigations on Brick Church Pike, Gallatin Pike, Buena Vista Pike, Brinkhaven Avenue, Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, and Wiley Street. Seized were 46 grams of cocaine, 81.8 grams of marijuana, 26 various pills, two weapons, and $398 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 26 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, McKennie Avenue, and the 200 block of North 9th Street. Seized were 14 grams of cocaine, eleven grams of marijuana, 21 Dilaudid pills, five Ecstasy pills, ten Lortab pills, 129 various pills, one vehicle, four weapons, and $734 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Una-Antioch Pike, the 400 block of Church Street, the 1100 block of Donelson Pike, the 400 block of Lafayette Street, Jefferson Street, 11th Avenue North, and 5th Avenue South. Seized were 212 grams of marijuana, 2.5 grams of cocaine, 960 grams of meth, 203 Ecstasy pills, 177 meth pills, 64 ounces of liquid GHB, 34 various pills, and $4,608 cash.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
