Two men fatally shot early this morning in the parking lot at the Al Menah Temple at 1354 Brick Church Pike are the victims of murder-suicide.
Travis Otey, 27, and Stephane Collier, 29, both of Clarksville, got into a physical altercation during a private party inside the building. Lawrence Ballentine, 54, escorted both men outside. Collier retrieved a handgun and shot Otey and Ballentine in the parking lot at 12:30 a.m. He then turned the gun on himself.
Collier and Otey died at the scene. Ballentine, of McFerrin Avenue, was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.
