
Undercover detectives, assigned to each of the department’s six precincts, charged 94 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Ocala Drive, Crenshaw Street, and Saturn Drive. Seized were 25 grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, 22 various pills, three weapons, and $1,200 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, 6th Avenue South, Old Hickory Boulevard, Lafayette Street, Parris Avenue, Plus Park Boulevard, and Robertson Street. Seized were 16 grams of cocaine and two grams of marijuana.
West Precinct detectives charged 27 persons as the result of investigations on 12th Avenue South at Hawkins Street and Wade Avenue, 8th Avenue South at Division Street, 39th Avenue North at Charlotte Pike, and the 2700 block of Mossdale Drive. Seized were seven pounds of marijuana, 17 grams of cocaine, 20.5 pounds of Khat, two grams of heroin, two weapons, and $5,368 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike at Old Hickory Boulevard, Tucker Road, 23rd and 25th Avenues North, and Dowlan Street. Seized were 40.4 grams of cocaine, ten grams of marijuana, 391 Ecstasy pills, five weapons, one vehicle, and $2,568 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations on Boscobel Street, Trinity Lane, South 14th Street at Fatherland Street, and Dickerson Pike. Seized were 40 grams of marijuana and 4.7 grams of cocaine.
Central Precinct detectives charged six persons as the result of investigations on 6th Avenue South at Lafayette Street, 8th Avenue South at Drexel Street, North 1st Street at Oldham Street, and Jefferson Street. Seized were 13.5 pounds of marijuana and 30 grams of cocaine.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
