Two serial robbers, who are working independently of each other, have now been identified and are being actively sought by detectives at the South and Hermitage Precincts.
Marcus Welby Goodman, 37, is named in arrest warrants charging him with three counts of aggravated robbery for holding up the following three businesses on April 4: the Kroger Store at 3955 Nolensville Pike, the CVS Pharmacy at 303 East Thompson Lane, and the CVS Pharmacy at 2500 Lebanon Pike. Goodman’s getaway vehicle in those three robbery cases was a maroon van that was taken during a carjacking in the early morning hours of April 4 from a Harding Place hotel. The van was located abandoned Sunday. A carjacking charge against Goodman is anticipated.
Billy Dwayne Adams, 32, is named in arrest warrants charging him with the April 3 robbery of Walgreen’s at 5555 Edmondson Pike and this morning’s robbery of the CVS Pharmacy at 735 Harding Place. In both cases, Adams passed the pharmacists notes implying that they would be killed if they didn’t give him specific prescription painkillers.
Surveillance video aided in the identification of both Goodman and Adams.
Anyone seeing them or knowing their whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
