Metro Police patch

West Precinct detectives are working to identify the person or persons who fatally shot Clint Corley, 17, of West Richmond Hills, near McKissack Park on 28th Avenue North at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses report Corley and Michael Willis, 17, of Delta Avenue, were playing basketball in the park when they got into an argument with at least one other individual. Shots were fired. Corley and Willis ran from the park toward Clifton Avenue. Corley was shot and collapsed in a nearby vacant lot. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. Willis, who was shot in the leg, was treated and released form Vanderbilt last night.

A suspect, described as a young black man in his teens, is being sought. He is short with a slim build and braided hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black ball cap.
