East Precinct detectives have identified the man who shot two other men during a robbery inside a car Monday night in the 2500 block of Bethwood Drive.
Ladon Roscoe Robertson, 22, was a backseat passenger in a Mercury Marquis driven by William Grisham, 42, of Oakwood Drive. The front seat passenger, Jim Thomas, Jr., 33, of Allenwood Drive, said Robertson demanded money from Grisham at gunpoint. Thomas and Grisham both struggled with Robertson who fired multiple shots inside the car. Grisham was shot in the head and Thomas was shot in the abdomen. Robertson fled on foot. Grisham and Thomas were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Grisham was released Wednesday. Thomas is in stable condition.
A warrant charging especially aggravated robbery has been issued for Robertson who is known to frequent the Dellway Villa and Trinity Hills Village Apartments. Both victims positively identified Robertson as the man who shot them. Robertson is also being sought for a 2006 shooting. The victim, now 31, identified Robertson last July as the man who shot him in the leg as he walked on Hickory Hollow Terrace.
Anyone with information concerning Robertson’s whereabouts is urged to contact East Precinct Detective Paul Harris at 862-7953 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
