
Specialized Investigations Division detectives on Thursday charged eight persons with prostitution after a male police operative responded to several ads placed on the Internet featuring both men and women. The defendants were arrested after they came to a local motel and agreed to deals for sex with the operative.
Those charged are identified as:
Separate investigations resulted in prostitution charges against two women who advertised on Craigslist. Jennifer Miles, 57, was charged after agreeing to a sex deal at her South Nashville apartment. Candace Ashley, 27, was charged after agreeing to a sex deal at a local motel.
Similar investigations targeting organized prostitution are planned in the coming weeks and months.
