FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 4, 2008

Hermitage Precinct detectives this afternoon arrested two of the four suspects in last Thursday’s robbery of the Subway at 5760 Old Hickory Boulevard.

Austin Bean, 19, and Marc Servius, 23, both of Hermitage and each a convicted felon, admitted they entered the Subway at 9:40 p.m. and robbed the employees of a large amount of cash. Bean, unarmed, wore a Halloween mask, Servius carried a club, and the other two suspects were armed with a machete and a baseball bat.

Bean pleaded guilty last October to coercion of a witness. As part of his probation, Bean was ordered to wear a sign twice a month in front of the Criminal Justice Center on James Robertson Parkway that read, “Respect the police, they are not pigs as I stated on my Myspace page”, and “There is nothing funny about guns and nothing cool about gangs”. Bean is being held in lieu of $100,000 dollars bond.

Including today, Servius has been arrested eleven times in the past year with convictions for aggravated assault and theft. He is being held in lieu of $95,000 bond.
