A 7th grader at Ewing Park Middle School is charged with unlawful weapon possession after a tip from a student led to this morning’s recovery of a .22-caliber handgun hidden near a school bus stop on Youngs Lane.
After learning of the tip, a School Resource Officer located the gun in a field under a hubcap. The 13-year-old boy said he had the weapon for protection.
