Speed appears to be a contributing factor in a single-vehicle accident early Monday morning that claimed the life of Patchez Wayne Overstreet, 28, of Valeria Street.
Overstreet was driving his 1989 Nissan Maxima northbound on Glenrose Avenue near Foster Avenue when his car left the roadway and overturned at 3:34 a.m.
Overstreet, the only occupant in the car, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
