February 1, 2008

South Precinct detectives are working to identify three apparent Hispanic teenagers involved in Thursday night’s shooting of a Nolensville Pike market clerk and the robbery of another Nolensville Pike store minutes earlier.

At 8:15 p.m., the three suspects, two males and one female, entered Harvest Market at 6025 Nolensville Pike. One of the males was armed with a pistol and pointed it at the 23-year-old clerk. The clerk backed away from the counter and walked out the front door. The gunman followed the clerk and fired a shot. The clerk was hit in the left elbow and the three suspects fled the property on foot. The clerk was taken to Southern Hills Medical Center for treatment.

Thirty minutes earlier, the three suspects entered African & Latino Grocery at 5570 Nolensville Pike. The gunman ordered the 43-year-old clerk to floor and took money from both the store and the clerk while the female suspect took several purses.

Anyone knowing the identity of the suspects or recognizing them from Harvest Market surveillance video is urged to contact South Precinct Investigations at 862-7763 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME
