Undercover detectives, assigned to each of the department’s six precincts, charged 103 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Thomas Street, Old Hickory Boulevard, and Elysian Fields Road. Seized were 10.5 grams of cocaine and 114 grams of marijuana.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Stewarts Ferry Pike, Jackson Downs Boulevard, and Lynwood Avenue. Seized were one gram of cocaine and 76 grams of marijuana.

West Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Bryant Court, 28th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, 37th Avenue North at Park Avenue, 14th Avenue North at Charlotte Avenue, West End Avenue, and Demonbreun Street. Seized were 7.5 pounds of marijuana, one weapon, two vehicles, and $175,995 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 29 persons as the result of investigations on Edith Avenue, Gwynn Drive, Dennis Drive, Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Gallatin Pike, Creekwood Drive, and 28th Avenue North. Seized were 21.3 grams of cocaine, five grams of marijuana, 147 Hydrocodone pills, and one weapon.

East Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, Brunswick Drive, Gallatin Pike, Grace and Joseph Streets, South 6th Street at Sylvan Street, and West Webster Street. Seized were 3,381 Dilaudid pills, 39.1 grams of cocaine, 13.2 pounds of marijuana, 12 Oxycontin pills, four Soma pills, two Xanax pills, nine various pills, one weapon, and $30,187 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on 8th Avenue South at Drexel Street, 9th Avenue South at Gleaves Street, 7th Avenue North at Hume Street, Ewing Avenue, Vine Street, Mulberry Street, 6th Avenue South, and North 1st Street at Oldham Street. Seized were 27 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of methamphetamine, and one weapon.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
