Metro Police patch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 11, 2008

Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man believed responsible for robbing the US Bank’s 1125 Murfreesboro Pike branch this morning.

The suspect approached the teller at 8:45 a.m. and implied that he had a weapon.

The suspect is described as a black man with a mustache and goatee in his late 30s. He is approximately 5’8” tall with a medium build. He entered the bank this morning wearing a khaki jacket with faded blue jeans and light brown work boots. He also wore dark sunglasses and a white ball cap. The suspect fled on foot toward Thompson Place.

Anyone seeing the robber or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
