A tragic accident this morning on Trevecca Avenue claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy who rode his bicycle into the path of a 1996 JeepGrand Cherokee.

Trenton Watson was struck by the SUV at 11 a.m. while crossing Trevecca Avenue near Strouse Avenue on his bicycle. Trenton was rushed to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision.

Trenton was riding his bicycle on a sidewalk through the Nashville Auto-Diesel College campus when he darted out into the southbound lane of traffic and was struck by the SUV. The on scene investigation showed that the driver, Sandra Patlon, 20, was not at fault.

Trenton lived on Strouse Avenue.
