
Undercover detectives, assigned to four of the department’s six precincts, charged 63 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Valeria Street, Trimble Street, Murfreesboro Pike, and Parris Avenue. Seized were 27.5 grams of cocaine, 7.5 grams of marijuana, and one weapon.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lebanon Pike, Oak Street, and Magnum Drive. Seized were three grams of marijuana and four pills.
West Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Jefferson Street, the 3700 block of Charlotte Pike, 12th Avenue South at Argyle Avenue, and 25th Avenue North at Merry Street. Seized were 19 grams of cocaine, two grams of marijuana, 99 Xanax pills, 59 Lortab pills, two vehicles, and $1,027 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Buena Vista Pike, Clarksville Pike, Village Trail, Baldwin Court, and 46th Avenue North. Seized were 14.8 grams of cocaine, 53.2 grams of marijuana, two weapons, one vehicle, and $1,510 cash.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
