Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 55 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lewis Street, North Hill Drive, and Thomas Street. Seized were 15 grams of cocaine and ten Ecstasy pills.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged seven persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lebanon Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, University Court, Lewis Street, and Capital Street. Seized were 270 various pills.

West Precinct detectives charged eleven persons as the result of investigations on Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Jefferson Street, the 3700 block of Park Avenue, and 12th Avenue South at South Street.

North Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Felicia Street, Beaus Way, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Neelys Bend Road. Seized were one gram of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, 49 various pills, and one weapon.

East Precinct detectives charged seven persons as the result of investigations on Trinity Lane at Hampton Street, North 2nd Street at Hancock Street, and Whites Creek Pike at Toney Road. Seized were 22 grams of cocaine, six grams of marijuana, one weapon, one Xanax pill, one Ecstasy pill, and $6,138 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged six persons as the result of investigations on North 1st Street at Oldham Street, 6th Avenue South at Lafayette Street, and Division Street at 12th Avenue South.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
