Metro Police patch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 27, 2007

Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force are working to identify the man who robbed Bank of Nashville’s 3770 Hillsboro Road branch at 2 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect presented a threatening note. The teller complied with his demand for cash.

He is described as a white man in his late 30s, approximately 6’ tall, and is estimated to weigh around 220 pounds. He was wearing eye glasses, a fake beard, and wig. He was dressed in a sweater and slacks. No suspect vehicle was seen.

He is also suspected of entering the same bank December 18. A man wearing a fake beard approached a teller to exchange twenty dollar bills for larger bills. He left when he was told only bank customers could exchange money.

Anyone recognizing the suspect or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500.
