Murder suspects Robert Williams and Stephanie Hudson, who are wanted for Tuesday afternoon’s murder of Jerry McEwen outside the Kroger store on E. Thompson Lane, are in custody in Jackson, Mississippi.
Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Task Force arrested Williams and Hudson without incident just after 5:30 p.m. at 357 East Ridge Way, the home of Williams’ sister. The couple’s getaway vehicle, a 1991 Ford Explorer, was located behind the residence under a blue tarp.
Information developed during the day by the Marshals Service, Metro Police and TBI strongly suggested that Williams and Hudson were in the Jackson, Mississippi area. Task Force members this evening confirmed the couple was in the home, made quick entry and took them by surprise.
Williams and Hudson will be held without bond in Jackson pending extradition proceedings.
