The Metropolitan Police & Public Works Departments will implement the city’s NFL traffic management plan at 12:30 p.m. Sunday as football fans begin heading to LP Field for the sold-out Titans-Jets game.
The Woodland Street Bridge will close to regular vehicle traffic at 12:30 p.m. It will then be available to pedestrians and shuttle buses only.
For fans parking along and south of Broadway, the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge will provide safe, enjoyable and easy access to the stadium.
Gates to LP Field will open at 1 p.m. Sunday. Stadium parking lots will open at 11 a.m. to fans with parking passes. Only those fans with parking passes will be permitted to park on the LP Field campus. Fans without parking passes are urged to save time and park in the downtown area and walk to the game or ride an MTA shuttle bus. Those parking downtown are strongly urged to “PARK SMART” by locking their automobile doors, securing any valuables, and removing the keys. Those three simple steps can go a long way in preventing an unwelcome surprise.
Information about MTA’s shuttle service is available on the Internet at www.nashvillemta.org. Game transportation is also available from Music City Star trains. Train schedules are available by calling 862-6117 or 862-8833.
