South Precinct detectives are working to identify a man found fatally shot Saturday nightnear Fogg Street and 7th Avenue South.
A CSX employee reported a man lying between the train tracks just before 8 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered two men, both shot multiple times, lying near the tracks.
Francisco Moreno Ramos, 48, whose last known address was on Flora Maxwell Road, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is in critical condition. His right leg had been severed below the knee. The second man was deceased.
Anyone with information concerning the murder or victim’s identity is urged to contact South Precinct Investigations at 862-7763 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
