The investigation of a nurse’s technician in connection with the alleged rape of a 70-year old resident of the Madison Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at 431 Larkin Springs Road has not resulted in any other sexual misconduct allegations at the facility.
On May 5 the victim reported to staff members that Harvey Eugene Taylor, 44, of Nix Drive, had raped her in her room. She was transported to General Hospital where a medical legal exam was performed. The MLE was sent to the TBI for analysis which ultimately showed a DNA sample from Taylor matched DNA recovered from the victim. He denies having any sexual contact with the patient.
Taylor was arrested Wednesday and is charged with aggravate rape. He is being held in lieu of $175,000 bond.
