FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 23, 2007

Hermitage Precinct detectives have identified Paul E. Corso as the suspected gunman who murdered David Hook inside Hook’s 915 Patricia Drive home early Wednesday.

Corso, 22, who is last known to have lived on Lincoya Bay Drive, is named in an arrest warrant issued today charging criminal homicide. Efforts to locate Corso over the past two days have been unsuccessful.

The investigation by Detectives Clinton Vogel and Jeff Ball shows that Hook and Corso were involved in the cocaine trade and that Hook had demanded Corso pay a drug debt. The two are thought to have argued Wednesday before sunrise, resulting in Hook’s murder. Hook, 33, was found dead by a friend at 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Corso is believed to have fled the scene with more than two pounds of cocaine, at least two guns, and cash. Corso is considered to be heavily armed and dangerous.

Anyone seeing Paul Corso or knowing his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
