Coordinated police work between precinct detectives led to the arrest Tuesday of a man suspected in as many as 30 business robberies across Nashville.

Kim Witt, 47, of Buchanan Street, is charged with six counts of aggravated robbery. He would typically bring an item for purchase to the register before demanding money from the clerk at gunpoint. Witt’s finger print was matched to one lifted at the scene of one of the robberies.

During an interview with detectives Witt admitted to robbing the following businesses:

Witt, a convicted robber, was on parole. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected.
