
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 90 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
East Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on McAlpine Avenue, Cahal Avenue, Emmett Avenue, Clarksville Pike, Shelby Street, and Brookway Drive. Seized were 11.8 grams of cocaine, 745 grams of marijuana, three OxyContin pills, one gun, one car, and $200 cash.
South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Spence Lane, Lewis Street, Foster Avenue, and Murfreesboro Pike. Seized were seven grams of cocaine, 113 grams of marijuana, and $275 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Jefferson Street, Highway 70 South, 17th Avenue North at Herman Street, and 11th Avenue South at Edgehill Avenue. Seized were 11 grams of cocaine and 11 pounds of marijuana.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 26 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Philfre Court, Millwood Drive, and Foothills Drive. Seized was one gram of marijuana.
North Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Walton Lane, Woodruff Avenue, Creekwood Drive, Kate Street, and Fairview Court. Seized were 35 grams of cocaine, 50.5 grams of marijuana, ten various pills, one vehicle, two weapons, and $3,698 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged nine persons as the result of investigations on North 1st and Oldham Streets, 6th Avenue South and Mulberry Street, Lindsley Avenue, Hermitage Avenue, Lafayette Street, and Ewing Avenue. Seized were four ounces of cocaine and one pound of marijuana.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
