
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 102 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Murfreesboro Pike, Harding Place, Fesslers Lane, Lewis Street, and Wallace Road. Seized were 15.85 pounds of cocaine, ten grams of marijuana, 300 Hyrdocodone pills, one ounce of mushrooms, four vehicles, and $179,318 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lafayette Street, Lewis Street, Carroll Street, and Lebanon Pike. Seized were one gram of cocaine and 240 various pills.
West Precinct detectives charged 30 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, Clinton Street, Jefferson Street, 16th Avenue North at Jo Johnston Avenue, and White Bridge Road at Charlotte Pike. Seized were 14 grams of cocaine, 96 pounds of marijuana, one gram of heroin, 100 Ecstasy pills, and 9.5 various pills.
North Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, Marina Street, Clarksville Pike, Kings Lane, and Dickerson Pike. Seized were 14.3 grams of cocaine, 1.2 grams of marijuana, one vehicle, and $725 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, the 1000 block of Whites Creek Pike, the 1600 block of Berrywood Drive, the 300 block of West Trinity Lane, the 600 block of Sylvan Street, Grace Street, and Joseph Street. Seized were 4.2 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of marijuana, one Dilaudid pill, four weapons, one vehicle, and $232 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged eight persons as the result of investigations on North 1st Street at Oldham Street, the 200 block of Shelby Avenue, and Harding Place at Linbar Drive. Seized were 296 grams of cocaine.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
