The man found shot to death inside his 6135 Nolensville Pike home at 8:45 p.m. Saturday is identified as Jorge Jimenez, 24.
The investigation to this point shows that Jimenez was a major cocaine distributor in the Nashville area. Seized from his home during the homicide investigation were 15.8 pounds of cocaine, $179,165 cash, a GMC Denali, a Range Rover, a Cadillac Escalade, a 50-inch Plasma television, and a home theater system.
A friend discovered Jimenez in the kitchen area of the home. Detectives believe he was killed within an hour of being found. There were no signs of a struggle or forced entry, indicating Jimenez may have known his killer(s). Detectives are investigating whether the murder is rooted in the cocaine trade.
Anyone with information on who may have killed Jimenez is urged to contact Detective David Achord at 862-7687 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

South Precinct detectives are also working to identify the persons responsible for the shooting death of Jose Lozano Miranda, 23, who was found dead at 10:20 p.m. inside a 1998 Mitsubishi Diamante parked in the lot of the Citgo market at 4719 Nolensville Pike.
Officers arriving at the market to investigate a report of a man passed out in a car found Miranda dead from a gunshot wound to the chest. Miranda, of Atkins Drive, borrowed a friend’s car Saturday night saying that he needed to pickup his girlfriend. The store's surveillance system shows that he arrived in the market parking lot at 9:08 p.m. Detectives believe he was shot at approximately 9:16 p.m. Two men inside the store during that time frame are believed to have information about the homicide. Their photos accompany this media release on the Internet. Anyone seeing them or knowing their whereabouts is urged to contact South Precinct Investigations at 862-7763 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
