West Precinct detectives are working to identify the person or persons responsible for the shooting deaths of Steven Donta Oden, 20, of Omaha Court, and Ronnie Lee Carver, Jr., 18, of Nashville, who were shot late Sunday afternoon at the National Car Wash at 4007 Charlotte Pike.
Oden was preparing to vacuum his Chevrolet Tahoe when a car pulled in behind the SUV. Carver was sitting in the passenger seat. The gunman got out of the car, shot Oden, and then fired on Carver. Oden was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. Carver was dead at the scene.
