Undercover detectives assigned to five of the department’s precincts this week charged 120 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Park Plus Boulevard, Foothill Drive, Murfreesboro Pike, and Fisk Street. Seized were 34.5 grams of cocaine, 28 grams of marijuana, and $243 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, 3rd Avenue South, Cameron Street, and Spence Lane. Seized were one gram of marijuana and ten grams of cocaine.
West Precinct detectives charged 31 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, Clinton Street, Merry Street, Jefferson Street, 12th Avenue South at Wedgewood Avenue, and Little Hamilton Avenue. Seized were 16 grams of cocaine and two pounds of marijuana.
North Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Old Matthews Road, Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Tennessee Avenue, Indiana Avenue, 41st Avenue North, Meharry Boulevard, Allenwood Drive, Walton Lane, and Golden Oak Court. Seized were 10.6 pounds of cocaine, 12 grams of marijuana, six vehicles, one weapon, and $83,451 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Eastside Avenue, South 19th Street, and North 7th Street at Ramsey Street. Seized were .4 grams of cocaine, 125 grams of marijuana, one weapon, and $258 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on North 1st Street at Oldham Street, the 200 block of Shelby Avenue, and 17th Avenue North. Seized were 52 grams of cocaine, two grams of marijuana, and 39 Lortab pills.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
