The woman found murdered last Thursday on the banks of the Cumberland Driver behind a brickyard on Oldham Street has been identified through her fingerprints as Caroline Emily Langley, 36, who is last known to have lived on Woodyhill Drive.
Langley had been dead several days before her body was discovered. Decomposition made identification more difficult. She had apparent trauma to her body. The result of toxicology testing by the medical examiner is pending.
Langley’s arrest history reflects a number of charges dating back to 2002, including six prostitution offenses.
Anyone with information about Langley or her murder is urged to contact Central Precinct investigations at 862-7044 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
