Undercover detectives assigned to five of the department’s six precincts this week charged 110 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Brookridge Drive, Murfreesboro Pike, Fesslers Lane, and McGavock Pike. Seized were 23 grams of cocaine, over one pound of marijuana, and one ounce of khat.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lewis Street, 3rd Avenue South, Fesslers Lane, Menzler Road, and Polk Avenue. Seized were one gram of cocaine, 28 grams of marijuana, 210 various pills, and one gun.

West Precinct detectives charged 31 persons as the result of investigations on 37th Avenue North at Charlotte Avenue, the 1800 block of Jo Johnston Avenue, the 3700 block of Park Avenue, the 400 block of Fisk Avenue, and the 1500 block of Demonbreun Street. Seized were 14.5 ounces of cocaine, two ounces of marijuana, four ounces of mushrooms, and 500 hits of Ecstasy.

North Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Cephas Street, 12th Avenue North, 17th Avenue North, 40th Avenue North, 16th Avenue North, Fairview Drive, East Palestine Avenue, Walton Lane, Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Connare Drive, Rivergate Parkway, Old Hickory Boulevard, and South Gallatin Pike. Seized were 52.7 grams of cocaine, 23.7 grams of marijuana, two pills, one weapon, and one vehicle.

East Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations in the 2400 block of Emmett Avenue, N 8th Street, Ramsey Street, the 1400 block of Meridian Street, the 2500 block of Gallatin Avenue, West Eastland Avenue, McFerrin Avenue, the 3900 block of Baxter Avenue, the 1000 block of Spain Avenue, N 5th Street, Vernon Winfrey Avenue, and the 2700 block of Dickerson Pike. Seized were 2.5 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, and $600 cash.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
