Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 113 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street, Murfreesboro Pike, State Street, and Haywood Lane. Seized were 27 grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, ten various pills, one vehicle, and $262 cash. Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lewis Street, 3rd Avenue South, Cameron Street, Fesslers Lane, University Court, and Cave Road. Seized were 57 grams of cocaine, one gram of marijuana, 44 various pills, and one weapon.

West Precinct detectives charged 32 persons as the result of investigations on 37th Avenue North at Charlotte Avenue, 16th Avenue North at Jo Johnston Avenue, 14th Avenue North at Ireland Street, Blank Street, 25th Avenue North at Merry Street. Seized were five ounces of cocaine, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, two ounces of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and one vehicle.

North Precinct detectives charged 29 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Hamblen Drive, Old Hickory Boulevard, Clarksville Pike, Dickerson Pike, Whites Creek Pike, Cayce Drive, Dove Place, Dry Creek Road, and Vantrease Road. Seized were one ounce of cocaine, 8.5 grams of marijuana, one vehicle, and $129 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on North 6th Street, Whites Creek Pike, Litton Avenue, and Dickerson Pike. Seized were 21 grams of cocaine, 31 grams of marijuana, two weapons, and $704 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations on North 1st Street, Ewing Avenue at Middleton Street, and 4th Avenue South. Seized were 7.8 grams of cocaine and four grams of marijuana.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
