The man fatally injured at 9:20 a.m. today when his Ford Escape collided with the rear of a dump truck on Ashland City Highway is identified as Michael Bailey, 37, of Stratton Boulevard in Ashland City.
The dump truck, driven by Christopher Dale Flatt, 29, of Hendersonville, had just entered the eastbound lanes of Ashland City Highway from a private drive when Bailey’s SUV crashed into it. Flatt, of Flatt Construction, LLC, was not injured.
Bailey was not wearing a seatbelt. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died shortly after arrival.
