
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 110 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Thompson Lane, Peachtree Street, and Harding Place. Seized were 17.5 grams of cocaine, 114 grams of marijuana, 162 various pills, one vehicle, and $235 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 33 persons as the result of investigations on 37th Avenue North at Park Avenue, the 900 block of Blank Street, 16th Avenue North at Jo Johnston Avenue, the 200 block of Warrior Drive, and the 800 block of Bell Road. Seized were 13.8 pounds of cocaine, 1 pound 2 ounces of marijuana, 2,111 Xanax and Lortab pills, two vehicles, and $5,600 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lewis Street, Fain Street, and Southwind Drive. Seized were two grams of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, and two weapons.
North Precinct detectives charged 35 persons as the result of investigations on Two Mile Parkway, McArthur Drive, Ingram Road, Buchanan Street, Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Osage Street, Underwood Street, 40th Avenue North, Clifton Avenue, Delaware Avenue, 25th Avenue North, Trinity Lane, and Leawood Drive. Seized were 31.5 grams of cocaine, 52.4 pounds of marijuana, 14 various pills, four weapons, one vehicle, and $9,324 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged nine persons as the result of investigations on Maplewood Lane at Lemont Drive, 9th Avenue North at Jefferson Street, Mansfield Street at Gallatin Avenue, and the 2500 block of Gallatin Pike. Seized were 11.1 grams of marijuana, 148 Dilaudid pills, and $4,391 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged two persons as the result of investigations on 11th Avenue North and Lucile Street. Seized were two grams of cocaine.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
