
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 93 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Spruce Street, Plus Park Boulevard, and Wallace Road. Seized were 3.4 pounds of cocaine, ten ounces of methamphetamine, 4.5 ounces of marijuana, 855 various pills, one vial of Ketamine, five weapons, two vehicles, $12,000 worth of electronics, and $5,760 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on 21st Avenue South, 12th Avenue South at Wade Avenue, the 3700 block of Charlotte Pike, 14th Avenue South at Horton Avenue, and Cedar Circle. Seized were 174 grams of cocaine, 35.4 pounds of marijuana, 100 Lortab pills, one weapon, one vehicle, and $2,457 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Vultee Boulevard, Spence Lane, Claiborne Street, and Lafayette Street. Seized were 13 grams of cocaine.
North Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Delaware Avenue, Idlewood Drive, Boyd Drive, Lincoln Avenue, Rivergate Parkway, Gallatin Pike, Brick Church Pike, and Trinity Lane. Seized were 20.5 grams of cocaine, 9.2 pounds of marijuana, one weapon, one vehicle, and $825 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged eleven persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, Davidson Street at South 5th Street, Dickerson Pike at Trinity Lane and Marie Street, the 800 block of Boscobel Street, Hancock Street, and the 300 block of Pioneer Lane. Seized were .5 grams of cocaine and six Dilaudid pills.
Central Precinct detectives charged one person as the result of an investigation on 5th Avenue North at Union Street. Seized were 5.6 grams of cocaine.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
